TEXMAS, the Textile Merchants Group, is the apex body of Dubai-based wholesale textile merchants. Established in the year 1990, TEXMAS offers its members a platform to interface with the Government and its various departments to address the concerns of the textile industry.
The Late Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum often said that “If it’s good for business, it’s good for Dubai”. This business friendly policy has made Dubai the pre-eminent business and trading hub in the MENA region, and one of the premier business destinations in the world.
TEXMAS is an expression of Dubai’s business friendly policies and was among the first industry associations in the city. It demonstrates the city’s unique model of growth, a model that enables the success of private enterprise through world-class hard and soft infrastructure.
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Ruler of Dubai and the Vice President of the UAE, often says that “In the race for excellence, there is no finish line”. The relentless pursuit of excellence has now become part and parcel of the Dubai DNA and is a source of inspiration to the textile merchants of the city.
TEXMAS is registered with the Department of Economic Development in Dubai and its mandate is to advance the business interests of the textile trade in Dubai, provide inputs on Government policies and procedures that can put the textile trade on a more sustainable footing, and arbitrate disputes between members.
